Joining The Paradox
“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” –Romans 12:4–5
We call our members, “partners” because to join a local church you are partnering with a church family sent by God on His mission to love and serve your city through the proclaiming and displaying of the glorious grace of the Gospel of Jesus.
Partnership is more than just signing a piece of paper; it is a covenant before God, with the leadership and other Partners of The Paradox. The church is the gathering of the redeemed (Hebrews 10:24-25), the household of God (Ephesians 2:19), the bride of Jesus (Revelation 21:2,9), and the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:12-31).
Steps to Become a Partner
1. Connect
:: Attend services regularly
:: Join a City Group
:: Sign up on The City
2. Class
:: The Partnership Class is held bi-annually. It is a two-week class held at the church office on consecutive Sundays for three hours. Space will be limited. Classes will be posted on The City where you can RSVP to hold your spot.
3. Covenant
:: You will meet with a leader for your Partnership Interview where we can answer any questions you might have, get to know you, and go over the Partnership Covenant with you before you sign.
We started The Paradox not because Fort Worth needed another Sunday service; but to mobilize a movement for the mission of God in our great city. For Partners, the call is demanding (Mark 8:34-35). The opposition is great (1 Peter 5:8). But Jesus goes with us (Matthew 28:20).
