Our Story
In 2009 Pastor Jim began as a church-planting intern at City View Church in Keller, TX, which is a church plant from The Village Church, in Flower Mound, TX.
Interestingly God called him not to plant a church in his hometown of Detroit, MI, but in church-saturated Fort Worth, TX.
Fort Worth is the fastest growing big city (cities +500,000 people) in the US. The need was great; not for another Sunday morning church service, but for a movement of people that were compelled by the grace of the Gospel of Jesus to be a light to the city and a display of the glory of God
In June of 2010, 20 men and women met in the home of Matt and Jessica Lewis to talk about what God might do through them. For the next six months they met in Pastor Jim and his wife, Heather’s, home – growing to forty people.
On January 9th, 2011, The Paradox began gathering on Sunday mornings for worship in Downtown Fort Worth at the Van Cliburn Hall.
