City Groups
City Groups are the primary way for connecting at The Paradox. City Groups have regular gatherings in homes to eat, learn, pray and be together on mission, living out the Gospel in real and tangible expressions.
A City Group is not merely a bible study or weekly meeting; a City Group is a smaller group of folks from The Paradox based on proximity pursuing the renewal and redemption of their neighborhood or area of Fort Worth together. Sometimes they study the bible; sometimes they just party. And while there are weekly scheduled gatherings, you will find that City Group members hang out in various ways more informally throughout the week as well. Jesus calls His people to live in community, living life together as we seek to proclaim and display the Gospel of Jesus to the city we love.
Whether you consider yourself part of the The Paradox family or you’re just checking out what it looks like to live as Jesus lived — it is our desire that everyone would be an active member in one of these communities that bring life, restoration and growth.

NOT ALONE
The Paradox Church holds to a theology and philosophy that the Christian life is done in community and on mission, for the Glory of God. Followers of Jesus are not left on an island to fend for holiness by themselves; nor were they meant to serve or be on mission alone, but in community.
GOSPEL IDENTITY
The church isn’t a building; it isn’t an event on Sunday morning; it isn’t something we do. It is something we are. Our understanding of who we are as a church comes from who God is and what He has done. This leads us to our Gospel Identity.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. –1 Peter 2:9
We see in this verse four aspects of our identity as the church: we are a Family (“a chosen race”), of Missionaries (“a royal priesthood”), that display a Paradox-Culture (“a holy nation”), as we follow Jesus as His Disciples (“a people for his own possession”).
So City Groups are the people – the soil – in which you grow and live out the identity you have in the Gospel.
