Over the next several weeks we’ll examine City Groups at The Paradox: their vision, their identities, who they are and how they live. This is the third installment of the series and will look more into our vision for City Groups.BIG PICTURE - NEIGHBORHOODS
Imagine five City Groups in your current neighborhood or apartment complex. All five groups are focused on glorifying God, loving one another, and loving their neighbors. So 50-70 people scattered over just a few blocks and streets radically living out the Gospel, watching Jesus flex.
“We need to saturate the city so that it cannot help but be blessed by the church...as groups draw more people to Jesus, they replicate and increase the gospel density of their neighborhoods, increasing the likelihood that more of their neighbors will be positively impacted by the gospel.” - Brad House, Community
What would a neighborhood like that look like? If 50-70 of your fellow Paradoxians were intentionally serving, blessing, and inviting their neighbors into their lives, their homes, their gospel community, and into their faith – what transformation might occur?
Then imagine if that was going on in all of the neighborhoods in Fort Worth. This is not a grand vision; it is faithful Christians living out the Christian life as they are called. The key is that it can’t be - and wasn’t meant to be - done alone.
"Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another..." - Hebrews 10:24-25
CHURCH PLANTING
Ultimately, our hope is to see many of our neighborhoods and areas represented have
churches planted out of them. Specifically, our sights are set on South Fort Worth, Arlington, North Fort Worth,
East Fort Worth, and Aledo; though we would gladly plant down the street as well.
The Paradox was started with just three groups and 50 people. We want to see our city saturated with God-glorifying, Gospel-centered, passionate disciples on mission, individually, through our City Groups, and also through multiplying churches.
