Equipped - Summer Series

The calling on our church is to make disciples to saturate Fort Worth with the glory and grace of God. This is why every summer we do a series called Equipped. In order to grow in our love for Jesus and others we want to continually teach on these five gospel-centered practices and behaviors:
Joyful Repentance
Turning away from lesser joys (in sin and idolatry) and turning to the Greater Joy (in Christ). True repentance ends in rejoicing.
Enjoying God
Delighting in who God is, what he has done, and his presence with us. Jesus’ joy flows over to fill ours (John 15:11). We abide in his joy as we commune with God through prayer, worship, and his Word.
Gospel Friendship
Friendship not bound by affinity and utility, but by gazing at the same glory and sharing in the same grace; not based on what you get out of the relationship, but on what you lay down.
Bold Evangelism
The shameless proclamation of the Good News of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and why it’s good news for someone.
Biblical Formation
Transformed by, and conformed to, the Word of God, by the Spirit of God, for the Glory of God
Additionally, we are working to plant churches, and we want to be faithful to raise up leaders and to equip people in their Spirit-filled gifts. So that means we need to develop, raise up, and even send out as church planters, more faithful, effective, preachers of God's Word.
Over the course of the Equipped series you are going to meet five different men that we have been training to preach:

It is good and healthy for a church to have an appetite for Christ-centered preaching, and for that desire to not be based on any sort of style or personality, but solely on the fame of Jesus being made known. So my expectation and prayer is that these brothers will bless us and equip us as they proclaim the Good News of Jesus to us.
