Resources on Homosexuality
All of us experience sexual brokenness in some way. But for a few of us, that brokenness sets itself deep within us, marking our relationships, decisions, interests. It feels like our whole lives are defined by who we are attracted to, with little hope of that ever changing and with a world full of opinions, some of them shouting at us, about what that means for our lives.
Jesus, taking on the penalty for sin, scorning the shame that sin brings upon us on the cross, has cleansed us of all unrighteousness and covered us with his own. No other opinion, judgement, study, feeling, etc. holds water any longer for those who are in Christ. We then have the freedom to walk in the light in our sexual brokenness.
For those who have not experienced same sex attraction, but who know and love someone who does, here is an amazing opportunity to extend the grace and love that has been extended to you in your brokenness. You can rest in the fact that ultimately it is not we who fix/redeem/heal one another, but Christ. He loves you and your loved one more than anyone else. You have the freedom to trust Him, love them, and hope for the day when all things will be made new.
For anyone experiencing same sex attraction, know that you are not alone and God’s grace is for you.
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in the faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? - James 2:5
