Included are resources for addressing the basics of human anatomy, “the talk,” sexual abuse awareness, and guides for a variety of ages into the teen years. We’ll have copies of some of these at the check-in desk when you drop your kids off so you can see them first hand.Two thoughts for those of you on the struggle bus with these topics:• It’s never too late and there is always enough grace. Don’t let feelings of, “Yikes, we missed that window,” or feelings of shame from your own experience determine your posture in these conversations. You can start now and can start by praying for the wisdom of God. He perfectly parents us and loves giving us wisdom for these conversations.• Home is best. One of our resources (listed below) says, “We believe the best place for a child to learn about sexuality is at home with those who care most about him. In the school of sex education, the faculty should be you.” *(page 43). A poor conversation with a parent who loves their child is better than an “expert” conversation from someone who isn’t loving your child every day.
