Recommended Next Steps From Sunday's Q&A on Anxiety

We asked one of our counseling leaders to write to those that asked questions and wrestled with the content of yesterday's sermon on anxiety.

One of the biggest obstacles in working through anxiety and all of its related issues can be letting others know you are suffering. So thank you to those that came to the back for prayer and those who asked questions. Thank you for sharing your hurt, your worry, your fear. You are not alone. You have taken a big step in being vulnerable with others. We encourage you and others to take a few more steps:
  1.  Talk to God. Cry out to Him openly and honestly about your anxiety and suffering.
  2. Talk to a Pastor or your City Group Leader. Please let someone in your Christian community know you are hurting. If you are unsure where to start, contact Pastor Ryan at ryan@thepardoxchurch.com
  3. Seek truth through Scripture. Exodus 16, Matthew 6:25-34, Luke 12:22-34, Philippians 4:4-7, and 1 Peter 5:6-7 speak directly to anxiety. Psalm 27 provides an example of David’s response to fear and anxiety.
  4. Utilize the resources linked below for additional help in working through the root of your anxiety:

Our hope rests in King Jesus. He is near. He hears. He knows. He delivers.
